"Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC plans to start an overhaul of the remaining 600 kilometers of road on the Baku-Boyuk Kesik route in December 2014, the head of CJSC Arif Asgarov told reporters Oct.13.
He said that major overhaul of 317 km of Baku-Boyuk Kesik road was carried out earlier at the expense of the credit in the amount of 215 million euros, allocated by the Export-Import bank of the Czech Republic Export-Import Bank.
"Azerbaijan Railways" repaired an additional 30 kilometers of road on a specified route at its own expense.
It should be noted that along with the reconstruction of the railroad track itself, work on the renovation of power and signaling system is provided on this route.
"At present, the preparation of the necessary documentation in the framework of the reconstruction of the remaining 600 kilometers of road on this route is coming to an end," Asgarov said.
"And we expect the repair work to continue starting from December 2014."
The head of the company didn't announce the funding sources of works on the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure on the Baku-Boyuk Kesik route.
The total length of the railway station in both directions is about 1000 kilometers.
