Consumer lending market grows in Kazakhstan

A consumer lending market is growing in Kazakhstan, Ranking.kz. analytical service's statement says.

"The consumer lending volume increased by 17.9 percent (by 388.4 billion tenge) in Kazakhstan during the period from November 2013 to November 2014," a statement says. "The consumer lending market increased by 8.5 percent (961.5 billion tenge) [1 dollar - 183.05 tenge] over the period."

The consumer loans make up nearly 21 percent of the bank's portfolio or 2.6 trillion tenge.

"The second credit line for absolute growth is the purchase of working capital," a statement says. "The volume of loans for the current business projects increased by 371 billion tenge (12.9 percent) - up to 3.3 trillion tenge."
