A new head of the Turkish automotive company TOFAS has been appointed, the Turkish Public Disclosure Platform (Kamuoyunu Aydınlatma Platformu - KAP) said Jan. 14.
Cengiz Eroldu has been appointed head of the company. He replaced Kamil Basaran, the statement says.
Eroldu has worked in the TOFAS finance department since 1995.
Turkey ranks sixth in Europe for motor vehicle production.
The cars of Ford, FIAT, Renault, Toyota, Honda, Opel, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and MAN brands are assembled in Turkey.
Turkey also manufactures domestic brand buses, such as BMC, Temsa and Otokar.
