The sales of new cars in Kazakhstan rose by 18 percent in Feb. compared to Jan. , Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakhstan's Auto Business Association.
In February 2015 official dealers sold 9,194 cars. It is 1,399 cars more than in January 2015 (a 17.95-percent increase). Official sales since the beginning of the year reached 16,989 cars, the Association said.

"Increase in sales, primarily resulted from decrease in prices in car sale centers. Many official dealers offer 10-50 percent discounts, free car service during several years, as well as hire-purchase with 0 percent interest rate," the association said.

The average cost of PC, SUV, MPV and PU cars fell by 26 percent as a result and amounted to $18,817 in February compared to $25,384 in January.

The association believes that the governmental support to domestic automobile market, in particular the allocation of 20 billion tenge to second-tier banks for lending of the purchase of domestic cars by individuals and legal entities, will give positive effect in short term.
Meanwhile car sales in Feb. 2015 decreased by 18 percent compared to Feb. 2014. Official dealers sold 11,202 cars in Feb. 2014.
