Kazakhstan saw a dramatic slowdown in consumer loans, said the message released by the analytical service Ranking.kz.
The message said that over the year (from March 2014 to March 2015) consumer credit market in Kazakhstan grew by only seven percent. For comparison, in March, 2013 and March 2014, the growth of this market amounted to 48 percent and 45 percent, respectively.
In March of 2015, the volume of consumer debt of one employee to the bank in Kazakhstan amounted to his 3.4 months' salary - 407,000 tenge, according to the analytical service.
In March, the volume of consumer loans of the population in Kazakhstan amounted to 2.5 trillion tenge. Some 37.7 percent (942.5 billion tenge) of the mentioned amount accounted for Almaty.
