The trading volume on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) in all sectors of the market amounted to 47.741 trillion tenge ($ 257.989 billion) in January-June 2015 and increased by 2.4 times (2.3 times in dollars) compared to the corresponding period of 2014, KASE said.
The trading volume increased by 77.9 percent (by 74.9 percent in dollars) compared to the previous six-month period (July-December 2014).
The volume of foreign currency trading on KASE, including currency swap transactions in the first half of the year amounted to 36.335 trillion tenge ($196.361 billion) and increased by 2.5 times (2.4 times in dollars) compared to the corresponding period of 2014.
The volume of trading in state securities on KASE during this period amounted to 290.6 billion tenge ($1.574 billion) and decreased by 35 percent (37.6 percent in dollars) compared to the corresponding period of 2014.
The trading volume on KASE amounted to 48.9 billion tenge ($263.3 million) in January-June 2015 and increased by 126 percent (113.7 percent in dollars) compared to the corresponding period of 2014.
The volume of trading in corporate bonds during this period amounted to 451.8 billion tenge ($2.435 billion) and increased by 5.7 times (5.3 times in dollars) compared to the corresponding period of 2014.
The trading volume on the repo transaction market on KASE amounted to
10.614 trillion tenge ($57.355 billion) in January-June 2015 and increased by 2.2 times (2.1 times in dollars) compared to the same period of last year.
