Some 1,000 elevators to be replaced in Tashkent

The government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution. According to this resolution, 1,000 elevators will be replaced in multiple dwellings in Tashkent in 2016-2021.

This program worth about 86 billion soums will be implemented at the expense of the city budget, a representative of the city administration told Trend.

According to the program, 186 elevators will be replaced in 2016, 179 elevators in 2017, 162 elevators in 2018, 157 elevators in 2019, 156 elevators in 2020, 160 elevators in 2021.
The customer of this work is the territorial municipal association of Tashkent city.

According to the source, the supplier of elevators will be determined later.

Uzbekistan planned to implement a program to upgrade and repair the elevators in multiple dwellings of the available housing in 2010-2014. It was planned to completely replace 865 elevators, reconstruct 616 elevators and overhaul 482 elevators.

The Samarkand Elevator Plant was determined as a supplier of elevators, components, and spare parts. The Samarkand Elevator Plant with a design capacity of 7,000 elevators per year was put into operation in 1967.
