The average monthly salary amounted to 124,200 tenge (234.94 tenge = $ 1) in Kazakhstan in the second quarter of 2015. The average monthly salary in the country increased by three percent and the consumer price index - by 3.9 percent during the year (June 2014-June 2015), Ranking.kz analytical service said.
"In general, the seasonal decline was observed in the first quarter and a significant growth in the second quarter," the statement said. "However, the winter decline was observed at 9 percent in 2015 compared to the previous quarter (last year - seven percent), while growth was observed at 5 percent (last year - 11 percent)."
The largest average monthly salary in Kazakhstan during the year (the second quarter of 2014 - the second quarter of 2015) was observed in Astana and hit eight percent. This capital ranks third after oil regions in absolute terms - 183,700 tenge. Atyrau and Mangistau regions of Kazakhstan are the only ones where the salary decreased by six and two percent respectively during the year.
The largest growth of average salaries was observed at hotels and restaurants - 10 percent, universities - 8 percent, the entertainment centers and trade facilities- by 7 percent.
In absolute terms, the scientific and technical experts and financiers get the largest official salaries.
