The National Fund of Kazakhstan sold nearly $3.9 billion in October 2015, the National Bank of Kazakhstan reported on Nov. 2.

Of this total, some $2.7 billion was allocated to purchase bonds being sold by Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

Additionally, the National Bank of Kazakhstan converted dollars from the National Fund to tenge in the domestic market to continue financing the "Nurly Jol" program and other transfers from the National Fund, as approved by the Board of Management of the Fund.

At the same time, according to preliminary estimates released by the National Bank, in the last month the volume of gross international reserves of Kazakhstan increased by 1.6 percent, reaching $28.66 billion, as of late October 2015.
