Tehran, Iran, November 8.

By Mehdi Sepahvand - Trend:

Iran and Russia's joint economic commission is going to convene on November 10 in the Russian capital Moscow.

Iranian ITC Minister Mahmoud Vaezi and Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak will head the Iranian and Russian teams respectively, IRNA news agency reported.

During the two-day meeting, the sides will explore venues for more economic cooperation.

Various sectors such as industrial, oil, trade, energy, and aviation are hoped to provide grounds for the two countries to improve their annual turnover of $2 billion to the target $10 billion in the near future.

Before it plunged to $2 billion, Iran-Russia's trade turnover was $4 billion in 2013.

Iran and Russia intend to invest $35-40 billion in joint projects in the medium term, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said October 23.

Novak led an economic delegation of 40 to Tehran in late October where the sides discussed more cooperation ways.
