Azerbaijan, Mexico mull prospects for expanding bilateral ties in tourism

Azerbaijan and Mexico have discussed the possibilities of expanding the bilateral ties in the sphere of trade and tourism, said the message from Mexico's embassy.
The discussions were held during the visit of the director of ProMexico (trust fund of Mexican government) in Istanbul, Jorge Alberto Cruz Abascal to Baku at the invitation of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
During the meeting, the sides agreed that though the total trade turnover between Mexico and Azerbaijan stood at approximately $2 million in 2014, there is a vast potential for its growth.
The meeting participants expressed confidence that with the opening of Mexico's embassy in Azerbaijan the trade turnover will increase.
