Azerbaijan exported goods worth $199.54 million (8.15 percent of the total export volume) to Taiwan in January-April 2016, said the message of Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee (SCC) posted on its website May 17.
Meanwhile, France ($268.85 million - 10.97 percent), Germany ($250.87 million - 10.24 percent) and Israel ($135.53 million - 5.53 percent) are also holding leading positions in Azerbaijan's export.
The share of these countries in Azerbaijan's total export volume is 52.99 percent.
Italy kept its first position in the list of Azerbaijan's foreign trade partners in January-April 2016, said the message.
The trade turnover between Italy and Azerbaijan totaled $567.55 million during the reporting period that accounted for 11.25 percent of the total volume of the country's trade operations, said the message.
Russia with $465.87 million (9.24 percent), Turkey - $388.88 million (7.71 percent), Germany - $355.25 million (7.04 percent) and France - $315.58 million (6.26 percent) are following Italy.
The share of these countries in Azerbaijan's total trade turnover is 41.5 percent.
During the first four months of 2016, Azerbaijan exported to Italy goods worth $443.47 million that accounted for 18.10 percent of Azerbaijan's total export volume.
In January-April 2016, Russia led the top five of the countries with import volume of $387.33 million - 14.93 percent of Azerbaijan's total import volume.
During the first four months of 2016, Azerbaijan's trade turnover with 152 countries totaled $5.04 billion, which is by 34.3 percent less than in same period of 2015.
