Iran's electricity export decreased by 69 percent during first 69 days of the current fiscal year (started onMarch 21), Energy Ministry's weekly report said.
According to the report, published on ministry's official website on June 6, Iran exported 490 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) electricity during the mentioned time, while its electricity energy imports increased by 5 percent to 974 million kWh.
During the 69 days of the current fiscal year, Iran generated 48,335 million kWh of electricity.
During this period, some 10.379 billion cubic meters of natural gas was consumed in power sector with indicates 6.5 percent decrease year-to-year.
Iran decreased gas and oil consumption by 31.7 percent to 172 million liters, while fuel oil burning increased by 2.5 percent to 502 million liters during the mentioned 69 days.
In total, the primary energy consumption in power plants decreased by 6.64 percent year-to-year.
