About 4.45 billion Azerbaijani manats (1.5576 AZN/USD on July 14) have been invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector in H1 2016, which is by 29.4 percent more than in the same period of 2015, said the country’s State Statistics Committee.
The total amount of capital investments in the country’s industrial sector totaled 4.77 billion manats during the period, which is by 13.4 percent more than in January-June 2015. Some 4.43 billion manats of this amount have been invested in Azerbaijan’s mining industry, which is by 19.3 percent more than in January-June 2015.
Investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, has and heat totaled 84.9 million manats in H1 2016, which is by 27 percent more than in the same period of 2015.
