Reason of Turkish Petkim former director general’s detention disclosed (UPDATE)

Sadeddin Korkut, former director general of Turkish Petkim petrochemical complex (SOCAR’s asset in Turkey) was detained in connection with the complaint of one high-ranking official of the company, who was dismissed earlier, SOCAR told Trend July 28.

According to the company, Korkut was dismissed.

Mammadov, who is also the head of SOCAR Greece company (SOCAR’s Greek subsidiary), has been appointed new director general of the Turkish Petkim complex, the company said.

"Mammadov will be introduced to Petkim’s staff July 28 at 12:00 (GMT+4 hours),” SOCAR said. “Other senior employees of SOCAR Turkey Energy company have been also dismissed as part of the staff reforms ongoing in the company since April.”

Earlier, some officials of SOCAR Turkey Energy company (Turkish subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company (SOCAR) resigned.

According to the message, among those resigned are Omer Adsiz, director of PR department at SOCAR Turkey, Ilgar Mehmetoglu, director of the company’s HR department, Cetin Korkut, director of the company’s IT department, as well as Fuat Ulagay, director of HR department at Star refinery.
