Kazakh company Samruk-Energy received 8.69 billion tenges (347= $1) in profit in 1H 2016

Kazakh company Samruk-Energy received 8.69 billion tenges (347= $1) in profit in 1H 2016, according to the company’s financial statements published on the website of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) Aug. 12.

In 1H 2015, the company’s profit amounted to 12.39 billion tenges.

Samruk-Energy’s revenues decreased to 109.17 billion tenges in January-June 2016 compared to 114.09 billion tenges in the same period of 2015.

The company’s assets rose from 1.26 trillion tenges at the beginning of 2016 to 1.028 trillion tenges at the end of June.

Samryuk-Energy’s equity rose from 482.52 billion tenges to 500.1 billion tenges in this period.

The company’s liabilities decreased from 543.77 billion tenges to 528.1 billion tenges in 1H 2016.

Samruk-Energy is 100-percent state owned company. It manages and develops energy generating facilities in Kazakhstan.

Installed capacity of Samruk-Energy’s power plants was 6,774 MW in 2015, or 32 percent of the total installed capacity of power plants in Kazakhstan.
