Kazakhstan’s Kaspi Bank saw almost a five-fold decrease in its profit in January-September 2016, according to the bank’s financial statements posted on the website of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).
The bank had a net profit of 4.56 billion tenges (337.66 tenges = $1) in this period as compared to 22.41 billion tenges in the same period of 2015.
The bank’s assets decreased from 1.29 trillion tenges in the beginning of 2016 to 1.22 trillion tenges at the end of September.
The capital of the bank increased from 134.41 billion tenges to 139.21 billion tenges in January-September. Liabilities decreased from 1.15 trillion tenges to 1.08 trillion tenges in January-September 2016.
Kaspi Bank was founded in 1991. It is one of the largest banks in Kazakhstan.
