An international exhibition RecExpo II on real estate and investments kicked off in Baku Nov. 22.

At the opening of the exhibition, the Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee on Property Issues Kerem Hasanov said that the main goal of the event is to attract investments, revive the real estate market in Azerbaijan, as well as involve investors in the privatization of state-owned properties.

Such events are very significant in terms of attracting investments, Azerbaijan's Transportation Minister Ziya Mammadov told reporters.

The minister added that Azerbaijan will be able to attract big investors from other countries through such exhibitions.

The exhibition will continue until Nov. 24. The event is organized with assistance of Azerbaijan’s Committee on Property Issues and ElanExpo and Atılım Fuarcılık companies.

Around 100 real estate projects of Azerbaijan, Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus are presented at the exhibition.

Along with the 15 Azerbaijani largest companies, construction and investment companies from 10 countries -Turkey, UAE, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Hungary, Georgia and others - will present their projects at the Baku Expo Center.

RecExpo II is the only specialized exhibition in Azerbaijan dedicated to real estate.

Also, a large conference on “Real Estate Sector Investments” will be held Nov. 23 as part of this exhibition.
