Foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital increase

The total volume of foreign investments made in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital increased by 2.9 percent and amounted to 3.56 billion manats in January-May 2017 compared to 3.46 billion manats in the same period of 2016, according to a report of the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee for January-May 2017.

During the period, 85.1 percent (3.03 billion manats) of investments made by foreign countries and international organizations to Azerbaijan’s economy accounted for investors from the United Kingdom, Turkey, Malaysia, Switzerland, Russia, Iran, Japan and the US.

During the period, the biggest volume of foreign investments made in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital accounted for April – 770.2 million manats, and the lowest accounted for January – 654.1 million manats.
