Azerbaijan and Romania are stepping up the work of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, a diplomatic source told Trend.
The next meeting of the intergovernmental commission is planned to be held in November, according to the source.
The source noted that Azerbaijan intends to offer a package of investment projects to Romania during the upcoming meeting.
The sides are expected to mull prospects of expanding economic and trade cooperation as well as hold a business forum with participation of representatives of the two countries’ business communities.
Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with Romania amounted to $65.2 million in January-June 2017, which is 28.1 percent less than in the same period of 2016, according to Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.
