CBA’s foreign liabilities slightly up

Liabilities of banks and non-bank credit organizations to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) decreased by 1.01 percent during a year and as of July 1, 2017, totaling 6.85 billion manats, CBA said in its report based on results of 1H17.

According to the results of June 2016, liabilities of commercial banks to the regulator amounted to 6.92 billion manats, and as of early 2017 – 7.05 billion manats.

The volume of foreign liabilities of CBA increased by 0.2 million manats in the period and totaled 2.4 million manats.

CBA’s international reserves rose by 15.9 percent for a year – from $4.28 billion up to $4.96 billion.

Net liabilities of the Central Bank to the government decreased by 3.8 times in the period as compared to the same period of 2016 and totaled 1.56 billion manats. According to the results of June 2016, the volume of liabilities amounted to 5.93 billion manats.
