Foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital up by almost 8%

The volume of foreign investments made in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital totaled 6.02 billion manats in January-August 2017, which is 7.9 percent more than in the same period of 2016 (5.58 billion manats), says the State Statistics Committee’s report on the results of eight months of 2017.

During the reporting period, 87.9 percent (5.29 billion manats) of investments made in Azerbaijan’s economy accounted for investors from the UK, Turkey, Malaysia, Switzerland, Russia, Iran, the US, Japan, the Czech Republic and Norway.

In January-August 2017, the biggest volume of foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital was made in July – 998.4 million manats, and the smallest volume – in January (654.1 million manats).
