Demand of Azerbaijan’s public facilities for food products will grow to 79,410 tons next year, a source in the Food Products Procurement and Supply OJSC told Trend Oct. 27.
This means that next year, Azerbaijani entrepreneurs will receive more incomes than in 2017, according to the source.
“For nine months of 2017, facilities financed from Azerbaijan’s state budget were provided with food products for 18 items worth a total of 66.5 million manats,” the source said. “The majority of the products were purchased from local producers, including 395 farmers and 276 companies.”
At the same time, during the reporting period, the Food Products Procurement and Supply OJSC exported products worth $32.5 million, the source noted.
“We have also started paying out advances since April 2017,” the source added. “To date, we have received appeals from 309 food producers. As a result of monitoring of appeals and document verification, 123 economic entities were issued about 2.73 million manats of advance.”
