Volume of Top-10 Azerbaijani insurers’ pay-outs revealed

Pay-outs of Azerbaijan’s 10 major insurance companies amounted to 188.44 million manats in January-October 2017, the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) reported.

The figure accounts for 92.1 percent of all the insurance pay-outs for the ten months of 2017.

Ateshgah Life Insurance leads the ranking in terms of the pay-outs in January-October 2017. The company’s share of the total pay-outs was at 20.05 percent. Pay-outs of Ateshgah Life Insurance totaled 41.02 million manats in January-October 2017.

PASHA Insurance ranked the second in the list with 39.97 million manats (19.53 percent), being followed by PASHA Life – 39.85 million manats (19.47 percent).

In January-October 2017, all insurance companies operating in Azerbaijan collected 462.65 million manats in premiums, which is more by 10.16 percent than in the same period of 2016.

Pay-outs of the Azerbaijani insurance companies reached 204.6 million manats during the period, which is by 7.12 percent more than in January-October 2016.

Twenty-two insurance companies operate in Azerbaijan.
