Kazakhstan’s industrial sector ups production level

Industrial companies of Kazakhstan increased production by 8.4 percent in 9 months of 2017, compared to the same period of 2016. The industry’s share in the country’s GDP has increased to 27.3 percent.

The growth of the entire economy of Kazakhstan over the mentioned period amounted to 4.3 percent, which means that the influence of the industry on the country’s economy starts to increase, Kazakh Energy Prom reported.

In terms of value, the volume of the country’s industrial output in January-September of 2017 is estimated at 9.3 trillion tenge.

Since 2012, the share of industry in the GDP structure of Kazakhstan has been steadily declining, and has decreased from 31 percent to 26 percent in 5 years.

According to the forecast of socio-economic development of Kazakhstan for 2017-2021, the GDP of the country should grow by 3.4 percent. At the same time, the volume of production in the industry should increase by 6.2 percent, including 8.2 percent of mining and 4.5 percent of manufacturing sector.
