By Ali Mustafayev – Trend:

The Stabilization Fund of the South Kazakhstan region started storing goods at the warehouses of the transport and logistics center of the region, preparing for the winter season.

The head of the South-Kazakhstan region Zhanseit Tuimebayev ordered to contain the growth of prices for food products during winter.

The stabilization fund should take appropriate measures and prepare a sufficient stock of basic products consumed by the population in order to avoid the increase of prices, the press service of the local executive body said in a message.

Currently, the fund leases more than 4.000 square meters of storage space, where about 2,500 tons of food products have been stored.

After reviewing the company's work, the head of the region noted the importance of modern warehouses in stabilizing prices.

"In the northern regions of the country potatoes and carrots rot at the warehouses because of late winter and temperature fluctuations. As a result, commodity producers sell their goods in bulk, which may lead to a deficit for certain types of products during spring. Therefore, the stabilization fund started storing goods at modern warehouses of the transport and logistics center located in the Shymkent city," Tuimebayev said during the inspection of the warehouses of the stabilization fund.

After inspecting the leased warehouses of the stabilization fund, the head of the region touched upon the storage of meat products, stressing that now the region has the opportunity to store goods for a longer period, due to use of modern warehouses.

It is worth noting that all the products of the stabilization fund are purchased through trade exchanges with the imposition of obligations on their storage to producers.

This mechanism allows to save money and eliminates the risk of damaging goods.
