Uzbekistan plans from 2018 to allow individuals to provide taxi services when they register as individual entrepreneurs, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov said at a Senate session Dec. 21.
This will cover passenger transportation in cars with passenger seats no more than four. To provide taxi services, individuals will also need to obtain a license.
Currently, only legal entities in Uzbekistan can transport passengers commercially.
