Uzbekistan creates center for complex analyze of projects and import contracts

A center for complex analyze of projects and import contracts has been established in Uzbekistan.

The Center was established under the presidential decree "On the creation of an effective system of comprehensive examination of documentation within the framework of the formation and implementation of state development programs of Uzbekistan, the implementation of public procurement."

The Center will function under the National Project Management Agency under the President. The Center was granted the right to create regional branches.

The main activities of the Center are: organization of complex examination of projects included in the state development programs of the country, analysis and monitoring of their implementation; comprehensive examination of pre-project, project and tender documentation, technical tasks developed within the framework of the formation and implementation of state development programs; examination and registration of import contracts concluded within the implementation of state development programs, as well as within the implementation of public procurement; formation and updating of the unified national resource guide.

The scope of the Center's activities extends to all state bodies, business entities with a 50 percent or more state share in the statutory fund ; business entities, in the statutory fund of which 50 percent or more belong to the legal entity specified in the previous paragraph.

The document came into force on Jan.9 2018.
