Delegation of Japan’s Sony Corporation led by its Director General Hajime Nakamura held a number of meetings with high-ranking representatives of the Turkmen government in Ashgabat city, the Altyn Asyr TV channel reported Jan. 19.
Sony’s special interest was emphasized in the further expansion of its presence in the promising Turkmen market, where all conditions for the productive work of foreign business partners were created, the report said.
Nakamura, noting the significant potential of key sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan, expressed the desire of Japan’s business circles to build up trade and economic cooperation. During the discussion it was noted that attracting investments in the form of advanced technologies is the main target in many sectors of the Turkmen national economy.
During the meetings, presentations of the Sony Corporation’s developments in the field of TV and radio broadcasting, cinematography, digital communication systems and security, organizing the filming and broadcasting of international forums were made. A number of proposals were voiced in the field of improving the activities of national media and telecommunications systems.
