National Bank of Kazakhstan reveals TOP 3 insurance companies

The National Bank of Kazakhstan revealed a 2017 rating of insurance companies, the press service of the Eurasia insurance company (IC) said in a message.

The main indicators, such as bonuses, payments, assets, reserves, equity, charter capital and retained earnings helped to determine the top three insurers of the country.

In 2017, the total amount of insurance premiums earned by 32 insurers for all types of insurance amounted to 396.3 billion tenge, which is 6.5 percent more than in 2016.

The top three insurance companies are Eurasia IC (55.2 billion tenge in premiums, 13.9 percent of market share), Kazakhmys IC (45.5 billion tenge in premiums, 11.5 percent of market share) and Halyk Life (38 billion tenge in premiums, 9.6 percent of market share).

“The growth of compensation insurance, on contrary, slowed down,” the message said.

The insurance payments in 2017 amounted to 88.8 billion tenge, which is 8.6 percent less than in 2016.

The first three companies on this indicator are Eurasia IC (16 billion tenge in insurance payments, 18.1 percent of market share), Halyk-Kazakhinstrakh IC (8.4 billion tenge in insurance payments, 9.5 percent of market share) and Kazkommerts-Policy IC (6.2 billion tenge in insurance payments, 7.1 percent of market share).
