Kazakhstan will use blockchain technologies in the financial sector in 2019, said the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dosayev at the expanded board meeting of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
"We will focus on implementation of new methods of VAT administration and the use of blockchain technology. The minister of finance has already discussed this issue with the head of state," Dosayev said, Kazakh media outlets reported.
The country will start to work in this direction in August 2018 and the Ministry of Finance will be one of the first to start using blockchain, according to deputy prime minister.
"The task is ambitious, taking into account the present problems in the field of computerization, automation of processes. First of all, we will solve the accumulated problems, and in August, after achieving the desired results in tax and customs administration, we intend to start the implementation of projects using blockchain technology," Erbolat Dosayev added.
