Natig Guliyev, a member of the Supervisory Board at Azerbaijan’s Bank Respublika, increased his stake in the bank from 45.67 percent to 53.72 percent in early February, said a message posted on the Electronic System for Information Disclosure (ESID) on Feb. 23.

Guliyev purchased 4.8 million shares worth a total of 10 million manats, recently issued by the bank. After the purchase, Guliyev has 14.79 million shares at his disposal.

Natig Guliyev is the main shareholder of the bank. The bank’s shareholders are also Elchin Guliyev, Sevda Guliyeva, Saday Guliyev, Mariya Guliyeva, DEG (German Investment and Development Corporation) and Sparkassen International Development Trust GmbH, as well as a number of minority shareholders.

Bank Respublika has been operating in Azerbaijan since 1992. The authorized capital of the bank is 67.46 million manats.
