Azerbaijani tea producer Astarachay LLC plans to increase the export of products in 2018, Company manager for external relations Tural Mirkhadi told Trend on March 27.
"Last year, the company produced 75 tons of tea, this year it is planned to increase the production volume up to 95-100 tons. The products we produce can be divided into two types, ordinary tea and premium tea, which is mainly exported, " Mirhadi said.
He said that presently the company realizes several orders from abroad.
"Last year, as part of export missions, we visited Germany, the UAE, Qatar and Russia, where held negotiations. Now we are in contact with Russian buyers and most likely will export 2-4 tons of tea to this country in the near future. We will send 6- 7 tons of products to Belarus within the framework of another order," he said.
There are also orders from Arab countries that we can not realize yet because of the high workload, according to him.
Astarachay LLC was established in 2011.
In 2017, 775.2 tons of green tea leaves were harvested in Azerbaijan.
