In the 1Q2018, enterprises of the textile industry of Uzbekistan exported products worth $317 million, which is 21 percent more compared to the 1Q2017, the press service of the Uztekstilprom association stated on May 3.
According to the statement, number of exporter enterprises exceeded 376.
Currently, the main importers of Uzbek textile products are Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Turkey and the EU states. The enterprises of the industry carry out export to over 55 countries of the world in total.
The share of products with high added value exceeded 50 percent and is expected to reach 56 percent by the end of the 1H2018.
The association also attracted 2 domestic transport and logistics companies with a car fleet of about 300 vehicles.
Negotiations with a major international transport and logistics company, carrying out combined transport operations to all continents, are underway.
Uzbtekstilprom together with the Uzbek Airways are currently planning to expand emergency delivery of goods weighing up to 1,000 kilograms to the United States, South Korea and Dubai.
