Turkey announces revenues from taxation of vehicles and road use

Turkey's revenues from taxation of vehicles and the use of roads and bridges in March 2018 amounted to 150.877 million Turkish liras, Turkey’s Directorate General for Road Management (Karayolları Genel Müdürlüğü) told Trend May 4.

The state body announced that the revenues from taxation of vehicles and use of road bridges in March exceeded 41.972 million Turkish liras, and the revenues from the use of motor roads amounted to more than 108.905 million Turkish liras.

"During the period, over 37.167 million vehicles passed through roads and bridges," the state body said.

The government agency noted that by the end of 1Q18, the revenues of Turkey from taxation of vehicles and the use of highways and bridges amounted to 424.837 million liras.

"In the three months of this year, more than 109.228 million vehicles passed through the roads and bridges", the Directorate General for Road Management said.
