The chemical plant in Turkmenabat City, Lebap Region, Turkmenistan, has acquired new railroad tank cars, the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper reports.
The enterprise received 15 tanks intended for transportation of sulfuric acid, mainly through export routes.
More railway tank cars are expected to arrive.
The Turkmenabat chemical plant is the largest producer of sulfuric acid in the Central Asian region.
The enterprise works around the clock, producing more than 1,000 tons of sulfuric acid per day.
Sulfuric acid is the main raw material component in the production of phosphate fertilizers. It is also used in other industries and is widely in demand in the global market.
