Kazakhstan reveals grain exports via Aktau port

The amount of grain export through the grain terminal of Ak-Biday-Terminal Kazakhstan JSC in the port of Aktau amounted to 320,500 tons in January-April of 2018, the press-service of Ak Biday-Terminal said in a message.

Export of grain through the port of Aktau in January-February 2018 exceeded 166,000 tons of grain.

Kazakhstan, totally, harvested 20.6 million tons of grain and leguminous crops at a yield of 13.4 c / ha in 2017, which is almost the same as during the season-2016.

Gross harvest of wheat in the country amounted to 14.8 million tons in 2017, which is only 1.2 percent less than previous year. At the same time, the average yield of Kazakh wheat in 2017 reached 12.4 c/ha, exceeding by 16 percent the average for the last 5 years.

The gross harvest of barley in Kazakhstan, following the results of the harvesting campaign, amounted to 3.3 million tons in 2017, which is 2.3 percent higher than the previous year's figure and is the historical maximum for the production of this crop in Kazakhstan.
