Head of Kazakhstan’s Akmola region Malik Murzalin discussed issues of further cooperation regarding livestock development, plant growing with the representative of the largest state investment corporation of China - CITIC, the press service of the region’s executive body said in a message.

"The representative of CITIC Gay Kaihua and the head of the Akmola region also considered opportunities to increase the production of oil seeds and other products. Following the meeting, Gay Kaihua expressed high interest in direct investments in the region's economy," the message said.

In November 2017, the delegation of Akmola region led by Murzalin held a number of business meetings with representatives of Chinese investment and industrial structures in Beijing.

Attraction of investments is one of the priorities of Kazakhstan's present foreign policy. Akmola region, which produces 25 percent of all Kazakh grain, continues to closely cooperate with leading Chinese companies.
