The applications for supplying Azerbaijani non-oil products worth $36.9 million in April 2018 were accepted via Azexport portal (www.azexport.az), according to the Export Review, published by the country’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
The applications worth $222.5 million were accepted since early 2018.
In general, since January 1, 2017 till April 30, 2018, the applications for supplying Azerbaijani non-oil products worth $697.5 million were received from 93 countries.
Russia is leading in terms of the total volume of applications for January-April 2018. Thus, 19 percent of all applications accounts for Russia, followed by US (7.8 percent of applications), Turkey (7.4 percent), Iran (6.1 percent) and Saudi Arabia (4.3 percent).
Analysis of the applications shows that the biggest number of orders in April 2018 accounted for cosmetics, tobacco, fruit juices, pomegranate concentrate, tomatoes, hazelnuts, cotton, apples, motor oil, building materials, chamomile, tea, olive oil, butter and strawberries.
Azexport portal was created in accordance with the president’s order ‘On the creation of a unified database of goods produced in Azerbaijan’ dated September 21, 2016.
The portal aims at providing information on Azerbaijani goods and a favourable platform for their sale on foreign and domestic markets.
