Uzbekistan is leading among the CIS countries in terms of money transfers from Russia, the Central Bank of Russia stated in the data for the 1Q2018.
In total, individuals transferred $726 million to Uzbekistan with an average transfer amount being $314.
Russian citizens transferred $200 million with an average transfer amount of $216. Non-residents sent $525 million to Uzbekistan, with an average transfer amount of $380.
The second place in terms of money transfer volume is held by Tajikistan. In the 1Q2018, $487 million were sent to Tajikistan.
Kyrgyzstan received $434 million, Armenia - $209 million, Azerbaijan - $191 million, Ukraine - $158 million, Kazakhstan - $143 million, Moldova - $109 million, and Belarus - $73 million.
The last place among the CIS states is held by Turkmenistan, which received only $200,000 in the 1Q2018.
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan earlier stated that the volume of money transfers received by individuals in January-April 2018 amounted to $1.3 billion.
