Production of paints and varnishes will be organized in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, the Astana Mayor’s Office said in a message posted on its website.
The corresponding memorandum was signed by the Department for Investments and Entrepreneurship Development of Astana and the VMP Astana LLC as part of the Cities Mayors Forum “Global Silk Road” organized by the Astana Mayor’s Office.
Modern production will appear on the territory of the Astana Free Trade Zone.
The main objectives of the project include creation of modern production of industrial paint and varnish materials to protect against corrosion and fire, import substitution, optimization of costs for anti-corrosion and fire-retardant materials during the erection and repair of industrial, civil and transport construction facilities in Kazakhstan.
“The varieties of products will comprise at least 15 items, production will allow providing jobs for 40 people,” the message said. “The products can be applied in oil and gas complex, mining and chemical industry, transport construction, energy, housing and communal services. The expected commissioning date of the facility is 2019.”
