Trend:

Angren Rubber Products Plant and the Indonesian Rubber Association (GAPKINDO) have agreed to supply natural rubber to Uzbekistan, Podrobno.uz reported.

A protocol of cooperation between the two sides was signed during the recent visit of the executive staff of the Angren Rubber Products (RP) Plant to Indonesia.

During the talks, the parties discussed the supply of natural rubber from Indonesia to the Angren RP plant, where it is planned to establish the production of tires and conveyor belts.

A protocol was signed at the end of the talks.

Indonesia has the world's largest, a 3.6 million hectares of rubber plantations and shares with Thailand the world leadership in rubber production, by producing 3.5 million tons of natural rubber annually.

Given that this type of product is not produced in the Central Asian region, its supply and processing in Uzbekistan has great prospects not only for covering the domestic needs, but also for re-exporting it to all countries of the region. Uzbekistan could become a kind of hub for the entry of Indonesian companies manufacturing industrial rubber products using natural rubber into markets of all countries of Central Asia and the CIS.
