A passenger aircraft has been put up for sale on the Uzbek online advertisement service OLX.uz, Uzbek media reported.
According to the description, the aircraft, Boeing 737-500, was produced in 1991. The length of the aircraft is 31 meters. The aircraft has two motors and a total flight time of over 28,000 hours. The passenger capacity of the aircraft is 120 people.
The seller from Namangan has put the Boeing aircraft on sale for $1 million.
Will there be someone willing to buy such a large transport by such unusual means?
It was earlier reported that Ilyushin Design Bureau, a Russian aircraft manufacturer, is in talks with the Uzbekistan Airways for the purchase of IL 114-100 planes decommissioned in May 2018.
“The Uzbekistan Airways completely stopped the operation of six IL 114-100 planes in May this year,” said the report. “All these planes were used for domestic flights. Then they were put up for sale. Ilyushin Design Bureau showed interest in them. The Russian company needs them primarily as gliders for their new aircraft IL 114-300. We are actively working with them on this.”
