Uzbekistan's Asaka Bank and Industry and Construction Bank (Uzpromstroybank, UPSB) have signed a loan agreement with the Eximbank of Russia JSC, a subsidiary of the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR), totaling 141.56 million euros, the Uzbek media reported.
The document was signed Aug. 17 during a visit of an Uzbek delegation to Moscow and following a meeting with the leadership of EXIAR.
The funds will be used to finance the Tashkent Metallurgy Plant project with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons of high-quality cold-rolled metal products.
