Following the Turkmen-Austrian investment forum, a number of bilateral documents have been signed and agreements aimed at diversifying business partnerships in various fields have been concluded in Vienna, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) said in a statement Sept. 7.
Directors of such Turkmen companies as Hazar Balyk OJSC, Resmi Kepil, Guneshli Syyahat and others delivered their presentations. Information about investing in the Turkmen sea resort of Avaza on the Caspian Sea shores was presented.
"The Austrian businessmen familiarized with the large-scale reforms carried out in Turkmenistan, the measures for state support to the private sector, as well as the large-scale investment projects entrusted to the UIET," the message says.
The Austrian side presented an overview of innovations in mining and development of mineral resources, agriculture and agro-industrial sector, production of organic food products.
The sides exchanged views on ways of cooperation in development of private sector and financing joint projects.
The prospects of cooperation in transportation and logistics, tourism were a separate topic of discussion.
