The average car price was 28,298 manats in Baku’s car market in August 2018, director general of MBA Group consulting company, expert Nusrat Ibrahimov, told Trend Sept. 10.
“The average car price in the market increased by 2.6 percent in August compared to the previous month,” he said.
Ibrahimov stressed that in August 2018, 1,451 cars were put up for sale in Baku’s car market.
"The portfolio of offers in the car market decreased by 22.8 percent in August compared to the previous month,” he said. “Most of cars put up for sale - 84.9 percent - accounted for gasoline engine cars. The average price of such cars was 27,283 manats, decreasing by 0.14 percent.”
“Moreover, 15.1 percent of the offers accounted for diesel engine cars,” he said. “The average price of such cars was 34,013 manats, increasing by 16.6 percent. The share of cars with automatic gearbox was 68.8 percent with an average cost of 35,802 manats. The share of cars with a manual transmission was 31.2 percent, with an average price of 11,774 manats.”
The expert said the average mileage of cars in the market in August 2018 was 173,340 kilometers with a 5.2-percent decrease.
The expert added that the average annual wear of cars offered in the market was 5.97 percent.
"At the same time, the average annual wear of cars under five years of age was 9.96 percent, from 5 to 10 years – 6.49 percent and from 10 to 15 years – 6.06 percent. Wear for every 100 kilometers was 0.041 percent," Ibrahimov said.
