Products worth 525.3 million manats were produced by metallurgical companies in Azerbaijan in January-August 2018, reads a report of the country’s State Statistics Committee.
The report says the volume of output of metallurgical industry increased by 13.4 percent while the production of finished goods grew 18.2 percent in January-August 2018.
Azerbaijan produced 212,600 tons of fittings in January-August 2018, which is 35.8 percent more than in January-August 2017.
In January-August 2018, 35,600 tons of steel pipes were produced in Azerbaijan, that is by 0.9 percent less than in January-August 2017.
The volume of steel casting production stood at 277,900 tons in January-August 2018, which is 2 percent more than in January-August 2017.
Azerbaijan exported 37,945.7 tons of ferrous metal pipes worth $30.541 million in January-July 2018, which is by 10.2 percent more (by 28.6 percent more in money terms) than in January-July 2017.
