Foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital down

Foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital totaled 3.63 billion manats in January-August 2018, or 39.7 percent less than in the same period of 2017, says the State Statistics Committee’s report.

During the period, 80.4 percent (2.91 billion manats) of investments in Azerbaijan’s economy came from the UK, Turkey, Switzerland, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, Japan, the US, Russia and Iran.

In January-August 2018, the biggest foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital were made in April – 592.2 million manats, and the smallest were made in July (342.1 million manats).

In January-August 2018, the biggest share of foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital was recorded in February – 50.6 percent of total investments, and the smallest share was in August (26.5 percent).
