Anaklia Deep Sea Port and Baku International Sea Trade Port will become the game changer and raise awareness of Middle Corridor, Anaklia Development Consortium (ADC) told Trend.

“We will continue discussions regarding our cooperation, and together explore new opportunities for market growth. Anaklia together with Baku Port will become the game changer and raise awareness of Middle Corridor, which is the shortest route between Europe and Asia,” said the consortium.

Further, ADC said that Anaklia Port is in process of construction, Phase 1, which is planned to be completed by the end of 2020.

“When Anaklia Deep Sea Port is operational, in Phase 1, it will have the capacity to handle 1 million containers and 1.5 million dry bulk, as it will able to berth the Panamax and Post Pamanax, 10 000 TEU vessels, that are too large to call any of the existing Georgian ports,” said the consortium.
