The export of goods from Kostanay region of Kazakhstan have increased by almost 70 percent in the seven months of 2018 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $947 million.
This was noted at the meeting of the Council of Exporters of Kostanay region, where issues of state support were discussed, Kazinform reported.
"Kostanay trades with more than 90 countries, while the main countries where our products are supplied are Russia, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Iran," the head of the region Archimed Mukhambetov said at the meeting.
He added that the KazakhExport Export Insurance Company , whose Chairman of the Management Board Ruslan Iskakov also attended the meeting, provides a great help for the development of the export potential of the region.
"Our goal is to provide financial and insurance services at each stage of the export cycle," Iskakov said, noting that if there are already planned contracts and demand for products, the exporting company can ask for help and financial support of KazakhExport.
It is noteworthy that thanks to cooperation with this insurance company, the products of "Bayan Sulu" JSC from Kostanay are successfully sold in 13 countries. The volume of production and sales increased from 31,000 to 53,000 tons per year, with more than 80 percent of exports going to Russia.
Allur Group JSC also uses services of KazakhExport.
"We started the cooperation with KazakhExport in 2017. We see interest and demand for our cars in Russia and Central Asia. By the end of the year, it is planned to sell 326 cars worth more than 1.5 billion tenge", said the Chairman of the Board of Allur Group Andrey Lavrentyev.
Mukhambetov, in turn, noted that if in 2016 the company produced 2,000-3,000 cars, and in 2017 – almost 6,000, this year the production level reached 11,000 cars. Next year, Allur Group intends to produce 25,000 cars, the head of the region said.
The mission of KazakhExport is to support the rise in exports of non-primary goods and services in priority sectors of the economy and to develop the practice of financial-insurance and non-financial support of Kazakhstan enterprises.
By 2023, KazakhExport plans to become the key development institution in the implementation of the state foreign economic policy of Kazakhstan in the Central Asian region and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
